కలియుగం మొదలు అయిన తర్వాత,విష్ణు మూర్తి శ్రీనివాసుడు అనే పేరుతో మానవ రూపం దాల్చి భూలోకంలో లక్ష్మి దేవి కోసం వెతకడం కొనసాగిస్తూ ఉన్నాడు. ఆయన మానవ రూపం లో ఉండుట వలన ఆయనకీ కూడా మనుషులకి లాగానే ఆకలి,దాహం వంటివి కలుగుతాయి.అయితే అలా లక్ష్మి దేవికోసం వెతికి వెతికి...అలిసిపోయి ఒక చెట్టు కింద పడిపోయారు.మానవులు ఆయన రూపాన్ని గుర్తు పట్టలేకపోవచ్చు కానీ,దేవుళ్ళు  ఆయన్ని గుర్తుపట్ట గలరు.అందుకే దేవుళ్ళు శ్రీనివాసుడని చుట్టూ ప్రక్కల నుండి కాపాడటానికి ఆయన చుట్టూ చీమలతో ఒక కొండ ని నిర్మించారు. నారదుడు వెళ్లి లక్ష్మి దేవి తో  "తల్లి నీ భర్త చీమల కొండలో ఉన్నారు."అని చెప్పాడు. లక్ష్మి దేవి కంగారు పడుతూ బ్రహ్మ దేవుడ్ని మరియు శివుడ్ని తన భర్తని కాపాడమని ప్రార్దించింది . అప్పుడు  బ్రహ్మ దేవుడు ఆవు గ ,శివుడు ఆవు పిల్ల గ మారి శ్రీనివాసుడు చుట్టూ ప్రక్కల ఉన్న ఆవుల మంద లో కలిసిపోయారు.శ్రీనివాసుడి ఆకలి తీర్చటానికి ఆవు ఆ చీమల కొండ దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి శ్రినివాసునుకి పాలు ఇచ్చి ఆయన ఆకలి తీర్చసాగాయి. ఆవుల్ని కాచే గొల్లవాడు ఎంటబ్బా ఆ ఆవు రోజు పాలు సరిగ్గా ఇవ్వట్లేదు అని ఒకరోజు ఆ ఆవు ని ...
